Children Are The Future
Build a better tomorrow through your children
Idealists want to create heaven on earth. How can we reach that goal even if we are not powerful, rich or influential individuals? Our children are the future! Only they can truly make a difference.
All good people wish for world peace, a global utopia type society filled with love, respect, honor, mutual understanding and collaboration.
So why is it that after so many thousands of years no one has ever managed to achieve such a goal?
People like Gandhi, Mother Teresa, Christ, Martin Luther King and so many others have tried to bring us together and yet failed.
The answer is simple, economics.Wherever there is failure and injustice it always leads back to economics.Usually cash that can not be traced back to the bad people who commit the worst crimes against humanity. In other words there is no money or way for the bad and greedy to profit from a happy society.
All the powerful, rich individuals are able to flourish only in a world where the not so fortunate live in fear.Remember that it takes a bullet to kill a man which is rather cheap on the market yet think about how much money is needed to take care of a human being?
What makes more economic sense when a group of people oppose a rich powerful person? Well the mafia has shown us time and time again that it is easier to eradicate the problem but in truth we all know that that does not fix anything.
The only way to create a happy tomorrow is through our children. We must try to find the strength to lead them by example and teach them about truth, honor, spirit of collaboration, justice and love.
We must teach them how to survive in a difficult world so that they may be influential in spreading love through legality, justice and become honorable members of the future community.
Is this something easy to do? No it is super hard! Being a parent is the most difficult job in the world.
When parenting the easiest thing is to make mistakes. No parent can honestly say they have never made any mistakes and that they are the perfect parents. It is a job that never ends, regardless of the date and time and there are no breaks.
Being a parent though is also the most rewarding job in the world especially if you do it right.
What I mean by doing it right is to put your entire effort into it.There is no perfect way of raising a child and every child is different. All you can do as a parent is care, learn from your continued mistakes and pay attention to them.
If you want a better world and tomorrow you can't be the parent who goes to their performances, classes or exhibitions and pretend to care about what they are doing. You actually have to care and get involved in your child's life and put that iPhone away.
If you pretend to care about your children they will grow up to pretend to care about their children and the cycle of carelessness will never end.
Children whose parents are always too busy to care will find ways to find attention. They will get their attention from others who are willing to watch, teach and listen to what they have to say.
If you want a better tomorrow you can't be the parent that always says yes and that to avoid wasting time always does everything for their child.A child feels unworthy and patronized by this kind of parenting and eventually will just become lazy and a burden on themselves and you.
It takes extra hard work to keep saying no and giving your child the time to do and learn things on their own but it is worth it and when the child becomes part of the community they will find school work easy and fun. They will be happier to go to school then to stay home. They will want to be active in their community because that is what you taught them.
If you want to change the world you can not be the parent who has no boundaries or rules within your home. You can't live with the constant concept that yes they are just a child so it is ok.If you do not set your rules and boundaries in stone your children will think that that is how the world works.
They will think that stealing, violence, and other inappropriate behavior is OK because that is what they see others do at school, on TV in video games. It is a really hard and exhausting job but we signed up for it and so if we care to make the world a better place we must try to be strong and firm.
If we keep saying that it is ok because they are children we can't complain when we discover they hurt others, steal from their school or disrupt class. We must own up and take control and do our best to help them through it.
If we want a better tomorrow we can't be the parents who allow others, video games, TV, the media to do the parenting for us.Leaving your child in front of the TV for hours on end without supervision is about as dangerous as giving them a gun.
A picture is worth a 1000 words, imagine what a movie is by comparison? Every act of violence in a movie video game we expose our children to must be thoroughly explained.Even child even as old as 18 can often confuse reality with a screen type virtually enhanced game or reality TV show. That is why powerful people spend so much money on advertising during the Superbowl season.Brainwashing!
They will confuse the two realities especially if they have not been programmed to understand the difference since the age of 2 or younger. The younger the children the stronger the bonds they make and their abilities to learn.
If you wait until your child is 5 or older to set boundaries, teach them how to be part of a better tomorrow they may never want to or find the concept very hard to swallow.
The same can be said about reading writing and counting. If you wait for your child to be 5 or older to start teaching them how to read write and count they will struggle like crazy.
In some places like Hong Kong and New York children need to know how to read write and count at a 1rst or 2nd grade level by the time they reach 5 in order to enter gifted programs.
The world of today is far more challenging than in the past.If we want our children to live easy lives we must prepare them by reading to them at birth and interactively helping them learn how to read write and count. No matter how busy our lives are we must dedicate 10 to 15 minutes of fully focused exclusive time to them, to help them learn these complicated skills.
Reading and comprehension are the most vital skills to our daily lives. They can mean the difference between getting to work on time or crashing our car. They are the difference between getting our work done efficiently and getting fired. They are the skills that will help our children find jobs in the future as virtually every job post ever written requires an individual to have excellent written and verbal communication skills.Without those you can be sure your child will struggle to find a job and live a happy life. That is guaranteed same as death and taxes!
Those are all the hardest skills to learn. They are also the skills that empower human beings the most.Knowledge is power.Knowledge is the power to do good.Let's help our children learn how to access good information and empower them to become great members of our community.
Everything that happens on earth is a cycle. If we all work together we win, divided we loose.Let's focus on our local communities and the entire world will thrive!
If we help our children they will in turn be the ones to help us and build the better tomorrow we never could.
