Small Things You Can Do To Help Your Children
These may sound trivial but they can really help your child.
Some of the things I will describe can really improve your child's future. Not every parent has the luxury or the time to help their children with doing all of these things but even doing a few will have long lasting positive affects on your child.
Raising children has become very difficult for most modern families. It is really hard to find time and energy to spend with them when both parents are working and have many other distractions in their lives.
Here are a few things that can really help your children and even if you just pick one or two of them to add to your daily routines that's ok.
Teach your children how to focus.Whether you are having a simple conversation or playing a game.Get them to focus on it and not constantly feel the need to move on to something else or get distracted by other things going on in the room.
Teach them to be able to block out other sounds or distractions and be able to focus on the task at hand.As children get older and go to school they will need to learn this valuable skill.
Make sure your children stretch at least once a day and possibly do some kind of sport 2 times a week even if it is just walking around the lake.A healthy diet and plenty of stretching and walking will ensure your child does not develop back, tendon and muscle problems.
Most of the back problems we get are caused by our sitting or working positions.
Help your children learn to communicate verbally.Teach them how to effectively communicate a message in a simple and concise manner that can be understood by everyone.Teach them how to listen to a basic message and hone in on the punch line.
Most of our adult lives are about strong and effective communication.Every school, job and other type of interview your children will face will require these skills and being shy and erratic can cause them to miss out on good opportunities and often lead them to struggle in becoming successful individuals.
Verbal skills are far more powerful then written skills when it comes to job placement and getting into leadership roles where being extroverted and able to perform in front of a group is vital.
Don't wait for your children to fully form their personality and then try to teach them these skills especially if you already noticed they are the shy at a young age.
Boost their confidence in communicating their feelings any way you can and seek help at their school because teachers can often come up with ideas that parents may not have thought of.
